Sammy Blackman

Endurance Coach

Sammy is an endurance coach and triathlete from Austin, Texas. Sports have always been a part of his life as he played baseball all the way through college. Once out of college, he wanted to continue being competitive and that is how he came across endurance sports. Initially, he ran 3 marathons and then hopped into triathlon. He has won his age group in every olympic distance triathlon he has ever raced with a PR of 2:15. In the 70.3 distance, his current PR is a 4:53. He has personal goals of qualifying for Kona in the full distance and also earning his pro card. As for a coach, Sammy coaches a wide variety of athletes from top age group competitors to first timers. He has seen his athletes achieve much success such as Boston qualifying, qualifying for 70.3 worlds, and winning their age group. His main drive as a coach is unlocking everyone’s max potential and proving to each of his athletes that they are truly capable of incredible feats. He is so passionate about triathlon and wants to pass that passion on to each of his athletes. His biggest motto is “consistency compounds” … as long as you put in the work consistently your performance will shine come race day. He is super eager to be joining this amazing triathlon community of Real Tri Squad and the coaching team of EndureALL Coaching.
