RTSx Year-End Reflections from Adam Meredith

Updated: Nov 28

What a year 2024 has been for RTSx! This year Nick and I decided to create an expansion squad to complement our existing roster of 8 professional triathletes. The idea behind this was to create a pipeline through which to find some of the next best talent in triathlon, and to spread the positive vibes of RTS throughout the triathlon community.

Although some results and emotions have been mixed, the overwhelming feeling has been one of tremendous success and joy. As a squad we managed to; support members through injury, attend camps, train together, travel and race together and generally feel like one big extended family.

Not ones to sit on our laurels, Nick and I are doubling down for the 2025 season. Next year RTSx will become our elite amateur racing team. And we will be adding several new professional athletes to an expanded pro roster. In 2025 it is very possible that RTS will be supporting over 30 athletes in some capacity!

Considering we had just 6 athletes in 2023 we are tremendously proud of our achievements. And it could not be possible without the help of our awesome partners and extended RTS community.

Some standout achievements for RTSx in 2024 include Amanda Macuiba racing Worlds in Nice, and turning pro for the 2025 season. Sam Teller having an amazing year racing XTERRA across the world and Colleen Baker having a dramatic race at IMWI and qualifying for Kona next year.

Before the year ends, we still have one race to go with Dominika Jamnicky and Rachel Mensch racing Indian Wells.

Nick and I want to say a huge thank you to all of you for your continued support, we cannot wait to introduce you to our new racers for the 2025 season. And please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you need anything, or have any questions.

~ Adam Meredith, RTS COO and RTSx co-ordinator.
